You may be aware that, from April 2014, all Practices are required to provide a named GP to all of their patients aged 75 and over. This named GP will have overall responsibility for your care and support.

This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the Practice.

They will also work with other relevant health and care professionals, who are involved in your care, to ensure that your care package meets your individual needs.

Patients in this age group will be notified of their named GP over the coming weeks.

Having a poorly child can be a very scary experience for parents & carers. If you understand more about the illness and when to seek help, it can help you feel more in control. This leaflet contains advice about what to do when your child has a fever and when you should seek a medical opinion.

AAA screening is a free NHS national programme that screens men aged 65 plus to check if they have an abdominal aortic aneurysm. The screening is by invitation and uses an ultra sound scan. If you are a man aged over 65 you are more at risk of an abdominal aortic aneurysm that any other demographic so this is why you will be invited for screening.

We offer screening so we can find aneurysms early and monitor or treat them. This greatly reduces the chances of the aneurysm causing serious problems.

Men over 65 who have not previously been screened or diagnosed with an aneurysm can request a scan by contacting their local programme directly on: 0191 445 2554 or visit this website for more information.
